Brand & Visual Designer

I’m Maria, a brand and visual designer from Lisbon, now based in Berlin. I studied Global Design at IADE and spent an exchange semester at CODE University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, studying design, business and entrepreneurship.

I like work that ends up somewhere real: on a shopping bag, across a magazine spread, in a prototype you can carry — or on a swimsuit I sourced, produced and sold myself.

Approach

  1. 01

Start with the person on the other side

A shop owner’s taste, a commuter in a hurry, a young player learning through a game. The brief usually lives with them.

  2. 02

Make complex things easy to read

Hierarchy first, decoration later — whether it’s a station sign or a product dashboard.

  3. 03

    Finish it

Sourcing, production, prototypes. Ideas get better once they have to exist.
